What is your most favorite and least favorite thing about the holidays?

MOST FAVORITE: Lights and music! I love seeing the trees and buildings all lit up for the holidays, and I rarely ever get sick of Christmas music ... at least not until January.
LEAST FAVORITE: Obligatory gifts... I seriously wish we could all just get together and eat and drink and make merry ... I hate receiving/buying gifts for a pre-determined occasion, it's so awkward to me! I'm more of a spontaneous gift buyer ... as in, if I see something I know you'd like, I'll just buy it for you no matter what the time of year.
Also, after my wedding fell on the holiday parade from hell last year, I have to say parades are on my "dislike" list as well, lol.
Favorite: The seasonal food. I love to cook, so not only breaking out all my favorite recipes, but finding new twists on tradition favorites. Carrot souffl? has become a Thanksgiving staple for us.
Least Favorite: Travel. Having our families on opposite coasts makes for a lot of time in the car/air.
Favorite: Spending time enjoying family, getting gifts for those i love, and eating - A LOT. Oh, I love Christmas Carols too
Least Favorite: traffic and people. I don't know where all these people come from, but they just get in my way, lolli-gagging in the mall and driving like Sunday drivers.
Favorite: pretty much everything! I love the colors, the lights, the carols, the smells and food, the parties, the traditions, being with family, candlelight church services, shopping for DH, wrapping presents....
Least Favorite: Not having enough time off work!
Most favorite: Decor!!
Least favorite: Splitting time between families. It breaks my mom's heart EVERY year. I hate that.
LEAST FAVORITE: having to go to church on Xmas Eve with ILs
Most Favorite: Food and decorations!
Least Favorite: Cold and trying to spend an even amount of time with each side of the family
Most favorite:
Spending time with family and friends! I love it all - the food, the drinks, decorations, wrapping presents, Christmas music, etc.
I am also very fortunate because DH and I are from the same hometown, so we never have to spend the night at his parents
and we never miss a holiday with our families.
Least favorite:
Honestly, how quickly it goes! I also hate buying gifts for my Mom because she likes nothing...it's really frustrating. It also breaks my heart when I hear of people who can't make it home for Christmas or spend the holidays alone. We always try to include people if possible.
Favorite: cooking and baking... and the "coziness" of the holidays in genreal.
Least favorite: guilt trip on both sides of the family when its not thier turn for that particular holiday... and the LARGE amount of Calories i seem to consume, and the inevitable stomach ache i give myself, you would think i would learn my lesson!
Most Favorite: Spending time with family that we don't get to see very often.
Least Favorite: Trying to come up with gifts for people who are hard to buy for. I love when I can come up with something that I know that the person is going to love and I get so excited to give it to me. Hate the anxiety of not knowing the right gift!

2/11 - Same sh!t, different month = IUI cancelled due to no response = BFN
IVF #1 - Start stims (Follistim) 5/10, add in Ganirelix 5/14
ER 5/21 - 13 retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilized; ET 5/26 - transferred one perfect 1AA blast. 3 snowbabies.

Favorite: Christmas tree, lights, and cards. The house definitely feels cozier with the tree up and the other lights on. I never get tired of looking at the tree and lights. I also enjoy singing Christmas carols at mass during the Christmas season.
Least Favorite: Buying presents for adults. I love buying for kids, but it is pointless to buy for adults. I also wish Thanksgiving and Christmas with DH's family did not have to last 10 hours. It is way to long.
Best:
The Emotions. I love the feeling of finding and giving the perfect gifts. The sentimental feelings with decorating the Christmas tree. The joy of seeing relatives you haven't seen in a while. My young nieces' contagious Christmas excitement.
Worst:
The inability to be in two places at once. I wish both his side and my side could share a christmas celebration, so no one's left out.
Most Favorite - Spending time with my family and eating good home cooked food! I love honoring the true meaning of Christmas which is remembering the birth of Christ and the giving of gifts. I love seeing the faces of children at Christmas. I also LOVE looking at lights and decorations.
Least Favorite - the clean up after dinner! The freezing cold weather. I also wish that both families would come together and celebrate. My mom always extends the invitation to M's family but they don't usually come. I hate the fact that my ILs don't get together regularly for the holidays - it makes M frustrated that we only see the majority of my family. This is something he's expressed to his mom and hopefully things will start to turn around.
Favorite: Spending time with the families. The food! Putting up the tree with music on and drinking eggnog! The hubs & I started this tradition last year & I think we are going to keep it. Can't wait till we the room for a huge tree.
Least: Shopping & wrapping gifts. I hate fighting the crowds but I hate just buying gift cards. I really wish Christmas was like Thanksgiving, no presents!
