Can you recommend a dermatologist?
Ok, so I know I've asked this a bajillion times... but now that my insurance has kicked in, I'm going to go ahead and go.
Does anyone know of a good, reputable, dermatologist that also has aethetics stuff in the office? For example, if I want to get a microderm abrasion, can I get one done at the dermatologist office?
I'm really dying to get some good eye cream. My eyes are horribly dark and tender, and starting to really wrinkle. Anyone know of a good one I can try while I wait the month for the appointment?
Thank you!!!
In the end, only kindness matters...

I go to Advanced Dermatology - mostly b/c they have a ton of docs and phys. assts so you don't have to wait long for an appt. If I am not mistaken, they do those other "beauty" treatments there too.

For the eye cream, I recently started using all "green" products - green for the earth and for your body. So my new eye cream is by Burt's Bees. I like it so far. I use it a.m. and p.m. - it is light enough to go under make-up easily. Previously I was using one by Clinique that I really liked too.
Ahh, who ever thought growing old gracefully would have to start this soon!?
Hahaha for real! I'm like "EYE CREAM?!!?! I'M 27!!!" lol
I just think it will be better to try to start preventing some of this aging
I've also used the facialist there and she is awesome!
I also would recommend Advanced Dermatology. Every experience with them was just wonderful AND they are the only place that found a solution to my chronic skin condition.
The doc I saw there went into private practice recently, so my next visit will be in his new office I guess. I go where he goes.
Can you tell me a little more about this eye cream? I have eyelid dermatitis and it's REALLY hard for me to wear eye makeup for more than two days in a row. I usually skip eye shadow during the week and wear it on the weekends. I have to put Aquaphor on my eyes at night and in the morning to keep them from blistering up Do you think this would help?
Actually, I would say this eye cream would be really good in the terms of healthy products for your body/skin - esp if you already have a condition you are working to improve. I had a lovely case of scalp dermatitis and had a prescription for it and everything, pricey and annoying to use. Well, when I started using only green approved products it totally cleared up on its own. I was blown away. But a lot of the products in most OTC brands actually cause or worsen certain conditions (some way more serious like cancers, tumors, hormone disruption, etc), and every shampoo in my house had this one ingredient that had links to dermitits. So long story longer...anything you can use that's natural and free from as many synthetics/preservatives/fragrances the better. I also use hydrocortisone, polysporin (not neosporin) and 100% cocoa butter when I have facial "issues." I have such sensitive skin I try to avoid using too much of anything.
PM me your email and I can send you a quick reference guide to the worst ingredients to avoid...but the Burt's Bees eye cream has been good for me so far and it was around $12 maybe.
When you do wear eye shadow, what brand do you wear? Maybe try buying some of the green approved products to see if that helps - there may be something in your eye shadow that is making it worse. Clinique is usually a sensitive skin's best shot, but they still use a lot of things that aren't necessary and fall into the no-no category. I will bring my book in tomorrow so I can tell you some of the brands to check out. It's so interesting, I have been on a research binge w/ this stuff for weeks, and then turned it on to baby products...can't get enough!
I have been using Neutrogena Illuminating eye cream...it is affordable..and I will find out in two weeks if it has been working, at my last facial, the girl told me I needed to start using it...it make them a little tingly at night..but i feel they are "brighter"

PM sent!
I use Clinqiue. There is one quad that I have that TEARS my eyes up within 15 minutes of applying it, and I have no idea why. It actually makes little blisters pop up and rub raw...it's really gross
