Christmas Card's

So I know that it's late October... but I'm a planner.

 I know a lot of you got married this year- are you using a wedding photo for your Christmas Card?  I'm not sure if we should or not- we used one for our Thank you card...

 Any thoughts?

I would probably send out a new picture of you two instead of using your wedding pictures. Maybe you can pretend like it's cool outside and wear something wintery with long sleeves and if you have any pets get them in on the action? The year we got married (in august) we sent out a card of us and the dog in his santa suit by the christmas tree.

See that was my thought- like it would be too much, but then I was like I really dont want to pay to have photo's done again when we just had a million photo's done for the wedding LOL.

We just took one with our camera on the timer setting propped up at the right angle, we didn't get any professional pictures done or anything

Um....  Did you not just go to Disneyland?  ;-)

I know you want pictures that include Miley though.  And I know we just talked about this, but if the option we talked about doesn't work out, you could always do a Disneyland picture (if you got a cute one of you two), and then also get some pictures of you guys with Miley as a family (possibly the back-up option we talked about), and do a collage look together.

That might be cute.

Maybe even a collage look that includes pictures from the year (including a wedding pic, engagement pic, Disneyland pic, family pic with Miley, etc.)

That's a good idea. Shutterfly has tons of good options for photo cards. The birth announcement for D had 9 different pictures on it. It was really affordable and sooo cute

LOL we did just come back from Disneyland- but it was SO warm and Halloween so none of the photo's are like "Disney" + Christmas Card-ish.

 LOL I'm being indecisive.

We've done most of our actual cards through Costco!  Super quick, cheap and easy!  I like the natural pics with a plain ol' camera too, though I'm not sure what I'll do this year.  I say put up some stockings and decorations and away you go!

My vote is if you used wedding pics on your thank yous, then not to use them again on xmas cards.

And just an FYI, I work at Definitely Debra's on the weekends and we have AMAZING christmas cards....One you can order out of books or ones you can buy off the shelves....just throwing that out there I will be there this weekend

I'm cheap and never have professional photos done for christmas cards. the ones i like best are always no posed photos anyway. We've always set up the timer and posed in front of the tree or had a friend take them. I even used a photo my mom took for my business cards.
