It's about to be a battle in my house!

DH is a born & raised DC boy. I am a born & raised Philly (South Jersey really, but 10 mins over the bridge) girl.

DH is such a good sport and I am such a bad sport.  If the Redskins are able to pull out a win we may not talk until tomorrow!  Stick out tongue

Re: It's about to be a battle in my house!

  • My good friend and I are in the same situation as you and your DH.  If the Eagles win he will be a good sport about it, but if the Redskins win I will ignore that the game happened.  I am far too competitive!  Hopefully the Eagles win and that won't be a problem.  We definitely need a win after last week's pathetic performance.
  • I completely understand where you are coming from.  I grew up in Cincinnati.  DH grew up in Buffalo.  We almost got divorced the last time the Bengals played the Bills.

    HAHAHA!  That cracked me up!

Luckily for me and DH, we are both born and bred in Philly suburbs and are die-hard Philly fans.

lol. Awesome. I have gotten better over the years, but it still stings when any DC team beats any Philly team.

This made me laugh, too. :)

My dad was raised in south Philly, so I'm an Eagles and Phillies fan through him. He's super passionate about them both, as am I - but H is a Redskins fan, and it can get ugly. Luckily for me, he's moving some stuff tonight and isn't around to watch the game. :)

  • I'm being completely serious too.  We had to leave at half time and we didn't talk to each other for a few days afterwards.  Looking back I find is funny but at the time I was less than pleased.  It was the only Bengals game I got to go to all season, so I was not about to be a disinterested bystander.  He was the only one in our section who seemed to have a problem with the fact that I was wearing black and orange.
