    She made it through surgery but is still sedated, and probably will be for the next few days. That in itself is a huge step for her recovery. Her husband said her vitals are improving but the Dr. said her brain still does not look healthy after the operation.  That doesn't mean that she will not have a chance of being fully functional.  She is still critical and in the ICU and will continue to be there for at least a couple weeks.  Just keep praying...

    I appreciate greatly that there are those of you out there who are so caring and supportive of her and her family, as an online community what I see on this board and the knot is fantastic. I haven't posted much on the nest, nor do I personally know Marta, but this struck such a cord with me having gone through something so similar with my father a few years ago. It is the love and support everyone is giving now that will help the family get through this. As scary as it is, never underestimate the human spirit and our desire to live, no matter how grave the situation. Keep on sending the positive energy and hopefully things will turn around soon.

    DH asks about her every day too so she's getting some non-nestie vibes as well!

    My husband asks as well.  Every day when he gets off of work he asks if there was any news on Marta.  We pray for her and her family every day (sometimes more).

    I really hope we hear some more good news soon.  I think of Marta everyday (as does my sister) and pray she gets better quickly.
