Did you ever find a pair of winter boots? I found a pair very similar to my boots that aren't Uggs but think they are just as soft and warm as Uggs. They are made by Sporto and I found them at Macy's 2 years ago but I found a pair very similar online: http://www.zappos.com/sporto-glitter-black-pewter-velvet-suede
I've never had a problem with the suede being ruined from snow, salt, or slush and I only treated them the first year I got them.
Re: **Paula**
No, I haven't. Truthfully, I haven't even bothered with it and most days end up wearing my knee high leather boots just because I don't have to think what the weather is like in those. LOL
Thanks for the link - I'll have to check them out soon and I even have a Zappos credit I need to use!
sorry to butt in but I was at Costco last week and they have their version of Uggs for $39. Now, I know you are thinking, oh knock off Uggs but the only way you can tell they are not Uggs is by the lack of the ugg tag in the back. They are suede and even have the nice and warm inside linging.
They are the taller boot in black, chocolate, gray, or tan.

You guys and your Costco.
Following my struggle to find whole wheat pizza dough in GB yesterday, I swear I live in the backwoods. Of course, I found the whole wheat pizza dough, but we can't get a Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, or Costco anywhere near here.
