Just read "Frillies are coming to town" article in the NY Post.  Yikes!

I get that it's a competition, and I am quite competitive, but childish?  Not so much.  Being the "city that throws snowballs at Santa" really blows, but "the Series with the biggest azzhole fans" is even worse.  Sorry, I'm going to cheer for my Phils, but I don't want to play the d*uchebag game.

I don't necessarily think that it's all New Yorkers and I really am not that naive to think that some Philly fans don't act the exact same way.  I'm happy that the women here are civil about things.  I love the Phillies and have since I was a kid.  It just annoys me when people act like idiots and give us all a bad name.  It's pretty bad when the national media is talking about how disrespectful fans from two cities can be.

I am so glad that I'm not the only one that thinks like this.  FWIW, I LOVE baseball, but I don't need to act like an azzhole over it.

Agreed. It's getting a little nuts - and annoying. I just try VERY hard to watch ESPN and Baseball Tonight, and leave the rest of the trash about the series out of it. Should be a good one!

I love the sport.  I love watching it.  I really don't care who is playing.  When one of my teams is playing, I don't trash talk, but tend to get super annoyed when others do.  Sometimes comments slip out in reaction to someone else, but I never instigate.  I don't understand why can't it just be about the game and playing well.
