Experience with Android platform? nft

Re: Experience with Android platform? nft

  • I can tell you what it's like to use Android, and how well I think it performs, but it would help a lot if you had more specific questions.

I think it's wonderful and very customizable to your tastes.  Depending on where you buy your Android phone your experience could differ, as android is an open source OS, and while certain phones (G1, MyTouch) have the base version of Android, companies like Motorola and HTC (and surely others) have developed their own slightly different versions of Android.  It's still the same OS at its core, but with a different style and look.

Right now, the app store is definitely not as extensive as Apple's, but as soon as a few more Android phones come out and the user base expands the app store will definitely grow and improve.

What would you like to know about it?

  • I had a G1 and liked it ok. I went back to Blackberry. The App Store was lame. Most of the Apps were for over seas. It is nothing compared to the Iphones App Store. If you are looking at getting one I would say to wait it out.
