Anniversary was great!

Thanks for the well wishes in my post about Ben last night!

So, we got each other bricks for our anniversary, lol. I am SO excited that Larry got me a brick that will go into the "Fanwalk" at the new Mets stadium next year.  He is having really thoughtful things inscribed too...

Ballards/SASAAFDS (our last name & the initials of something we say to each other every night before bed and that's the way we write it on cards & stuff to shorten it...)

He also got me a new purse & wallet from Vera Bradley in their brand new pattern that I love!  I got him what he wanted- similar to what he got me.  Except his brick will be at the Detroit Zoo and it will say:

Larry Jr- 1st visit 8/78

Benjamin Shea- 1st visit 7/08

We managed to get out to have a nice lunch, get some stuff for Ben at BRU and got to Target (yes, even on vacation I must go to Target!) while the Il's watched Ben.  Came home, fed him, played a bit, then put him down for a nap.  Then we went to PF Chang's for dinner.  I haven't been there in years.  So yummy! I had an Asian Pear Mojito and could only drink half- I can't handle alcohol at all anymore!  But it was tasty.  Just hate to see a good drink go to waste.

So Ben was good for the IL's.  He''s desperately trying to crawl, but just not quite there yet.  He said mama a few more times today.  He's trying to say "ba" and "da".  He also does this funny thing where I will tell him "do monster baby" and he growls and makes a monster noise, then I tell him "do cute baby" and he cocks his head to the side and smiles sweetly.  He really makes me LMAO sometimes!

OK, this got way longer than I intended.  How is everyone??

I'm glad you had a great anniversary.  Mine and Evan's is next week (2 years) and hopefully it will be as nice.  I'm just waiting for Saturday afternoon and then I have until the 14th off!  Yay for vacation!

Glad you had a great time!!  You guys deserve a break!  Love the gifts, did you both surprise each other or did you know about it...how ironic if you both got the same(wel similar)gift!  So you are there 3 weeks?  Do you stay at IL's house?  House does that go?  I think I would poke my eyes out with dull pencils if I had to stay with my IL's that long LMAO!!!!  You are a better woman than I!

I'm glad to hear that you guys had a good anniversary and are enjoying your trip!!  When you first said that you got eachother bricks as gifts I was wondering WTF, isn't one year supposed to be paper????  I'm glad the explanation went with it, though, it makes ALOT more sense now, LOL!

So glad hear that the trip is going well!!  and I am so glad that you got to go see your in laws, they are such nice ppl and you cant feel the love that they have for you. Larry and Ben by the way you talk about them!
