I read your blog, and oh how I love what you have done to the house.  You guys are moving along with the decorating.  So funny I love the story about the adult furniture.  I experienced that exact same thing when I bought my dining room table. LOL you had me laughing so hard because it was if you and I were thinking exactly alike.  I love the color choices. I really liked the teal color you chose but agree with you on the decision change.  I also love the herb pots and chalk board idea too cute.  How are those coming along?  So what else do you have planned for the new home.

  • Thanks, Shirley! We're proud of everything, and shocked when we sit down and fully realize everything we've done over the past 5 months. :)

The herbs didn't do so well. I've just given on up trying to grow herbs inside; it's never worked out for me. I replanted some small ivy plants in there that don't need much sunlight, and so far, so good.

With the exception of a couple chairs in the living room, we're ready to move onto the stairway and upstairs hallway and the master bedroom/bathroom. We're not entirely sure what we'll do, though, so it might be awhile! We've started dreaming about bigger projects, like replacing the carpet on the first floor with wood flooring; granite, backsplash, and new appliances in the kitchen; and retiling the half bath. That list is a little overwhelming, but we'll get to everything as time goes by.

How is everything with your new house going?

  • I wonder why the pics are not showing up?  crazy

Everything is going great with the house. We also have a list that can go and go. LOL.  It is alot of work but it is nice to know you are doing the work because it is yours. We still need to purchase some living room furniture.  I found two sets that I like, but I am taking my time because we are going to be stuck with it for a while.  I will have to take pics of the things we have completed so far and email them to you so you can see and give me some pointers. Oh and I love the term Ikeafied that is awesome.  You should patent it. No joke! Then you can sell it to Ikea for a ton of money.  hehehe
