good/cheap-o furniture stores in upstate?

I want to go furniture shopping this weekend, but it can be cheap furniture since I will probably re-face all of it. Know any stores?

Re: good/cheap-o furniture stores in upstate?

  • there used to be on in easley on 93 in a warehouse but it's changed into some highscale place now. you could try the furniture store on 123 right before you get into greenville coming from easley. they normally have cheap stuff in the basement. and there used to be an unfinished furniture store somewhere near the greenville mall, i'm not sure if it's still there or not. HTH
  • My cousin recommended a store on Woodruff (across from Wal*mart) called End-Up furniture.  It's all new, but it's like factory closeouts.  She said they have great prices and high-quality furniture..  If you're willing to put a lot of work in though, you may want to check out garage sales.

  • Margot, BTW we are having a Greenville area Nestie GTG on July 15th at City Range at 6:30.  You should come!

  • OH and there's a place on laurens that's been having "close out sales" for a couple years...lol you could try there!
  • Sweet, I'll put it on my calendar.

there are a couple of places in Greer that I am going to check out too. I say this but most likely will end up buying something that is all nice and done because I'll get lazy... Darn you really nice furniture places with enticing advertising!

  • i love to refinish furniture. my aunt and i did a cedar bedroom set. headboard, 2 side tables, dresser and chest of drawers. we didn't get to the cedar chest and armoire but i will one day.
  • There is a Broyhill Unclaimed Furniture warehouse a few miles north on 85 too, you may want to check it out.

  • My friend owns a furniture shop, Furniture Marketplace. Though it is not the best area, he has the best prices. He carries Ashley and many other name brands for nearly half the cost. Happy Hunting.
