Hey guys, I'm back from Planet Chaos flying aboard Starship Exhaustion.
Yes, I'm so exhausted I can't even muster the energy to insert an exclamation point. It's 'energy' hurts to even look at it lol.
Flew up to Queensland on Tuesday, visited dad that night and twice on Wednesday and flew back to Melbourne on Thursday. Friday I ran around trying to find an outfit to wear for the wedding and we drove two hours to our motel. Saturday, I didn't stop to scratch myself as I was shooting my first wedding.
Got home and it's been non-stop with Maya and cleaning etc. So, last night my body physically shut down and I just could not move. I almost crawled on my hands and knees to take Maya to bed lol.
Dad is not getting worse but isn't really getting better. The cheeky b@stard, who needs to wear an oxygen mask, got me and my sisters to take him outside in his wheelchair, only to wheel himself sneakily behind a pillar (so nurses couldn't see him) where he whipped out his secret stash of ciggarettes and lit one up.
Great dad, you're on freaking oxygen but you'll still keep on smoking. Lovely *rolls eyes*.
Anyway, his live is working at only 15-20% now and he has developed pnuemonia. Again, basically his body is shutting down. Any drug they give him, to combat one thing, causes damage to another organ. Most of the drugs they're giving him unfortunately have that 'double edged sword' effect.
For now, the emotions are calm again. We don't know ( and neither do doctors) what's gonna happen next. So...it's a kind of limbo at the moment.
Thanks again for all your support and kind words *hug*.

Muchos gracias chicas.
My dad is a stubborn man but that's him. He wondered why we were all there, his brain is not in tip-top shape.
My uncles, my cousin (who was adopted out as a baby but returned to the family fold 18 years ago), my sisters and I were all there and it's rare to have everyone together like that. So, despite the circumstances, we all caught up on time lost when we weren't at the hospital (we were all staying in the same house). I think my dad was feeling down because, here all his family were and he couldn't be out of the hospital and healthy enough to enjoy it.
sorry to hear you had a rough week, darling. it was tiring but i am sure time with your dad and family was priceless.
on a lighter note, how was your first wedding photo shoot? look forward to seeing photos!!! :-).
Don't forget to take some time out for yourself and breathe!!
Sounds like a tough situation, hang in there!
