Samsung VRT washer

Do you have one? Have you had any problems? Do you have it on a pedestal?

Re: Samsung VRT washer

  • I sell them, we've had very good luck with them, my only recommendation is if you put it on a pedestal be sure you have it on a very sturdy floor (like on the concrete floor in your basement) or it will shake.
  • We bought it and returned it in less than a week. We bought a floor model from Lowes on a great deal. It would wash the clothes just fine, but it wouldn't spin. It would start, vibrate a little, and stop. It would continue to try for an hour, then give up and leave the clothes sopping wet.

We called and had a service guy come to our house (free with the warranty) to try to fix it. The thing was perfectly level, on a concrete floor. It was on a pedestal, we tried taking it off, that didn't help. They ordered a replacement chip for the vibration sensor. That didn't fix it. They got us a whole new washing machine. That one didn't work either.

We got Lowes to take them back and bought a totally different set. So annoying. Maybe you'll have better luck, or maybe they improved it since last year, but I'd never get one again.

  • We actually have one. It worked perfectly for 6 weeks & now for the last 3 weeks we've been dealing with lots of vibration & noise issues. We're getting the run around from the retailer & the tech Samsung sent wasn't helpful either.

  • I hate hearing this! We're "pre-shopping" for a new washer/dryer and the new Samsungs were on our list.

I wouldn't want to use them without the pedestals as I fear it would kill my back. I hate digging to the back of our current dryer as it is. Does it shake less without them? Our laundry room is on the main floor with a basement below, so it's more like a second floor. I'm worried about this!

  • yes, any front load washer is going to shake more when it's installed on a pedestal.

  • We have one and works fine. it;s also on pedestals, but its in our basement. no issues so far.
