Psychologist have identified 24 key factors associated
with individuals who report high levels of life satisfaction. The most
recent research suggests that out of these 24, five are particularly
important: optimism, zest for life, curiosity, the ability to love and
be loved, and gratitude. The most important factor associated with
happiness seems to be gratitude.
There's a lot to be thankful for in the world. So even on dreary Chicago days like today, share why you're giving thanks!
Re: Thankful Thursday
I'm SO thankful DH got called back for a second interview with this amazing job. I'm thankful he feels like he knows what he wants to present for the second interview. I'm also thankful that I'm not obsessing about it, just taking one day at a time and learning to be patient.
I'm thankful for my health and my family's health. I'm thankful our lovely knottie buddy has made it thus far. We are all thinking of her!
I'm thankful I have some free time tonight and tomorrow to catch up on fun activities like WINTERIZING MY CLOSET! Wahoo. Totally dorky, but I am pumped to get organized and pack away all my little sundresses from Georgia.
I am thankful I have three fab meals planned for today: DH's special omlettes for breakfast, Sultan's market falafel sandwiches for lunch and white bean & avocado sandwiches for dinner. Yummy!
I am thankful that I have a fun Halloween weekend lined up!I'm thankful that I am working from the dining room table (aka my desk) and watching the leaves fall from the trees in Humboldt Park. I'm also thankful that I do not have to get dressed until 5pm when I leave for Steppenwolf.
I am thankful that we are able to host several small families for a big family Thanksgiving.
I am thankful that my Dh is staying positive as the job of his dreams is putting him on hold for an extra long time.
I am thankful Marta has made it through this week with some small improvements being made.
I am thankful that my blog is really picking up speed here lately in being "discovered".
I am so thankful I used my motherly intuition to take a urine sample to the vet this morning -- our puppy has a UTI. I just *knew* there was something wrong and she wasn't just being defiant in wetting her cage all the time here lately.
I am thankful tomorrow is Friday. I don't feel good and the last place I want to be is at work!
I am thankful for my DH who has put up with my moody cranky self this week... Just need more hours in the day
I am thankful for a girls night tonight, champaigne and a David Gray concert, yea!!!
I am thankful that the scale has chosen to forgive me, despite the lack of time i have to workout, and stress induced poor eating habits...
i am such a lurker, but i had to reply because i am finding it harder and harder to be thankful for things:
i am thankful that i am still working despite it being harder and harder to run your own business.
i am thankful my husband still has a job and still likes it despite being terriblly underpaid.
i am thankful for my amazing family and parents. as we get older we like eachother more and more.
i am also glad that i don't have to leave the house for the rest of the day.
i am also thankful that my girlfriend bought me a ticket to the pete yorn, flaming lips and phoenix concert.
and that the yankees are in the world series.
I am so thankful that my surgery went well on Tuesday and the doctor was able to leave all of my organs inside of me.
I'm also thankful for my wonderful husband who has taken such good care of me while I've been unable to move. He has gotten me anything and everything I've asked for without complaining once!
I'm thankful that my mom came and took care of me too. Hubbies are nice, but no one can replace mom!

I am thankful for the love that I have in my life from everyone especially my family and DH.
