Another update on me...

I thought I would post an update as some of you have been keeping up on my baby making saga. LOL Well I just returned from the OBGYN (after accosting MRsMAGOO on her street walking Austin, such a cutie he is) I finally had my followup appointment. All is clear, my 5cm cyst discovered when I m/c is gone. We are free and clear to jump into the baby making process again. I asked her about testing and she recommended giving it 3-4 months on our own again. As she said that most woman get PG within 6 months of have a m/c. I am okay with that. We kind of want to relax and enjoy the summer anyhow and not think about all of it. Of course I cried to Dr. Whitt again, just being back in the office kind of reminded me of everything. She was so nice and hugged me of course and spent some time talking to me. BTW On a side note she told me that I was the reason that their office won an award. After my m/c I sent the office a nice thank you note. DH said at the time "You are crazy, you are the only person that has a m/c and sends a thank you note." Well I felt like their bedside manner was amazing, so in my thank you note I wrote a long note thanking them for their kindness and such. Well apparently their boss whoever that may be passed it on and the office won a leadership award. That was nice. I said to DH, see they won't forget that!! LOL

Re: Another update on me...

  • Oh, I wrote Dr. Maynard and Dr. Martinez personal notes of thanks after my entire experience with pregnancy was over!!  And I also wrote a thank you to the nursing and office staff there.  They are all that amazing!!

I am glad to see that you haven't completely turned away from the prospect of becoming parents.  Sometimes all you need is time.

  • I'm so glad to hear from you. ?That's good news that the cyst is gone and that you also have the green light to go forth! ?

PS- That really shows what a good person you are. ?Even in your darkest hour, you thought to write a thank you note. ?How selfless and kind. ?

  • I'm so glad you got such good news from the doctor - I still think, if you "don't think about it" it will happen...I think you are wise to follow your gut and just enjoy the summer....*hugs* it was great to see you today!
  • So glad to hear from you.  I agree that Dr. Witt is amazing, she is my OB and was wonderful to me during my m/c.  I will never forget how she sat with me and rubbed my legs in the hospital before surgery.  She is wonderful.  I actually have been meaning to write a letter for ages now and haven't done it, but KUDOS to you for doing it!  :)   I don't know if they realize how much it means to have such supportive doctors caring for you during the most difficult time in your life.  They truly CARE about you as a person, not just a patient.

Anyway, you sound good and I hope that TTC goes quickly for you!  I literally got my BFP on the morning of my appt with Dr. Witt at the 6-month mark when we were going to discuss next steps.

    Big hugs to you, sweetie!

  • Hi Sue,

I was thinking of you today. I am so glad that you got the good news. Now you and DH can go at your own pace with green lights. Yeah! I know what you mean about choking up in the office, I did the same thing, just for being back at the office. Anyways, yeah for the good news.

BTW, no need to reply to my last email, I figured out what it was! Hehe.

  • Thanks for the update!  It is good to hear about what is going on with you!
  • Sue, it's good to hear that you and Jamie are doing well! I wish I had thought to write a note to Dr. Johnson, she was amazing for me.

    Enjoy your summer ;)

  • Sue that is such great news to hear that you have been given the "go ahead".  I am also glad to hear that you and DH are planing on just relaxing this summer.  I think that is a huge bit of conception.  Planning and obviously timing but also just relaxing helps the body recieve sperm so much easier then if you are focused on it.

Good luck on TTC'ing!  Your time is soon!
