Mover rec's

Anyone have any rec's for an reliable moving company?  We will do most of it ourselves but want to price out what it would be to have movers handle the final move of the furniture.

Thanks!

Re: Mover rec's

  • We just moved October 2 and used 2 men and a truck.  They were wonderful!!  We moved from a 1200 sq ft ranch to a 3600 sq ft tri level and paid a little over $500 for the move.

    Good luck!

  • Wow, that isn't bad at all.  I will call them.  Thank  you!
  • We've used soft touch moving twice and really loved them! They're based in Bloomington. Not sure where you need help.

    Good luck!

  • I also highly rec 2 men and a truck!! We used them moving within Fort Wayne and they were great!! Reliable, professional, and careful! We only had them move 5 very heavy pieces of furniture and it took them about an hour and a half. They charged us $150 and it was worth every penny.tThis may seem expensive for the short amount of time, but they were going downstairs to the truck, and upstairs in our new home. Also, the franchise we worked with, it is WAY cheaper to have them move you Monday through Thursday. So if at all possible, schedule them for one of those days. Good luck with your move!

  • well, I called the 2 men and a truck, to move 14 pieces of furniture they will charge $436.   Seems a bit high to me, and it is during the week and moving 1.6 miles.

Yay, I called them and they are about 200 dollars cheaper.  Thank you!

  • We used Morse Movers. They were careful, and overall we were happy However, they took forever (obviously on purpose), and we were paying by the hour. We did negotiate the hourly rate down before we booked them.
  • My husband is a salesman for Morse Movers!  Do you remember who came to your house?  It may have been him.
