Re: *knock knock* Is anyone out there?

  • Today my work "husband" is coming over to meet Ella and bring us some dinner.  He and his wife have been so amazing during this time I am so happy to see him.  We work so much together it is strange no to see him everyday!

Sat my parents are coming over for halloween and are bringing dinner!  Do you see a theme here.  I am excited for them to see Ella in her lobster costume!  We will hand out candy and have a nice time.

Sunday is my bil's birthday so we are going to nh to celebrate and eat pizza!  It should be fun!

Monday is a big day Ella gets her synergis shot in the am and S and I get our h1n1 vaccine in the afternoon.  We do know how to live!

  • Just finished my lunch...the flounder was decent. Work is a little slow...it's Friday. This weekend, well, we are finally going to start on the house. We have a lot of things to rearrange, to pack away, and to throw away. Any free hands out there?...LOL! We have a Pastoral candidate coming to our church on Sunday to preach. I look forward to hearing his sermon. After that, it will be more rearranging, packing, and throwing. Kind of boring, huh?

  • Right now I'm p!ssed at the company that manages my rental property so I'm calling around looking for someone new.  Argh.  Between phone calls I'm cleaning the office storage room and reorganizing all of my event stuff.  It's helping to eliminate the stress.

I really don't know what K and I are doing for Halloween or this weekend.  We have no costumes and no plans.  We had discussed doing a scary movie marathon so maybe we'll end up doing that.  I'm just ready for the end of the work day and my pjs.

  • I am here. I am feeling really lonely today so I keep hopping online to check-in. Bad mommy!

Tonight I will probably roast some pumpkins seeds and carve pumpkins.

Tomorrow we will find a good spot to take the girls trick-or-treating. I really need some good pictures of them and hope they cooperate while wearing  their costumes.

  • This afternoon we're having our home inspection (including video sewer inspection--ah, the things that get prioritized!). I'm still trying to squeeze in an acupuncture session today or tomorrow.

Tomorrow we don't have any plans. Maybe Costco before the coupons expire. I was going to get a flu shot, but since this is an insem weekend, I'm gonna wait. I'm hoping we can go see Where the Wild Things Are. We haven't been to a movie in awhile and I know we both want to see it.

Sunday is Sunday School pre-school (2-3 yo) then school work and relaxing at home.

  • Today is my first day back since last Friday. I came back to a slew of e-mails and voicemails that I have been trying to weed through. I am almost done with the e-mails and need to start working on voicemails.

I had weird dreams about getting an iPhone, re-creating our 8th grade musical (I was the jester in Once Upon a Mattress), and getting reprimanded at Red Robin (the restaurant) for calling at 2am. Random, much?

We have free pizza today at lunch. YAY!

All of our Halloween festivities were canceled b/c of the flu. Halloween is usually so fun around here - today is BORING (but good for getting things done.)

We are supposed to go to a Trunk-or-Treat tonight at the church where our friend's mom works. It doesn't start till 7 and the parade isn't until 8. *YAWN.* Mama wanted to go to bed early.

Lsaid the kids slept through the night (in their own beds) 3 of the 4 nights I was away. Last night Grayson crawled into our bed at 11:30 and Carter woke coughing at 1:30 (and needing medicine) and then begged to come to our bed. Humph.

I am thinking of getting this coat. Which color do you like better?

  • I'm here Smile Work is amusing today with Halloween festivities - lots of costumes around.

Tonight relaxing at home, hopefully C won't have to work too late - she's been working a lot this week and some snuggle time on the couch would be a good thing.

Tomorrow we are heading to my dad's house for lunch in honor of his birthday.  Then we'll head over to my mom's where we'll tell about the baby.  Hopefully we will survive that with little injury.  Then we'll probably just take it easy at home, as that will be a full day.

Sunday will be the usual of chores and errands.  Maybe we'll make it to babies r us since we didn't go last weekend.

  • 2brides - I like the lime zest best...Perhaps that is my obsession with green talking though.

DW and I are making tacos tonight and clearing space in our basement for a new chest freezer to house roasted pumpkin, stored tomatoes, and home made chicken stock...yum.

Tomorrow we are having the freezer delivered, getting my hair cut, and doing fall clean up stuff in our yard. We may also get more pie pumpkins for roasting and turning into pies for the pie list and otehr yummy things.  Then we are having friends over for dinner and going out (sans costume) dancing.

Sunday we are going to sleep in and do nesting cleaning things and probably cook and watch movies.

  • i'm leaving work early today to go lay some groundwork for a big surprise for my wife. and that's all i can say about it at the moment.

she's going to try to get vaccinated at a clinic, and hopefully she gets it--especially since my sister has a suspected case of the piggies. we still haven't been able to find the regular vax anywhere here, and the special clinics are crazy. people are waiting in line for hours and being turned away because they're running out.

tonight i'm installing the car seat (hooray!) and then we'll watch the hockey game.

i don't know of any official plans tomorrow, but i'm guessing we'll be doing stuff around the house. sunday we'll be going to one of our friends' house for lunch and games. should be fun!

  • i'm just getting into work after heading up to boston this morning. i'm going to have to work late to get caught up, but at some point tonight we're meeting up with friends and heading to fright fest (its at an amusement park so there are lots of haunted mazes, houses, rides, ect). fun, fun!

Tomorrow we're working on the basement/yard during the day then heading to a party at night (sans costume, thank goodness). And on Sunday we're just sleeping in and doing stuff around the house. i cant wait :)
