  • I just started reading I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell - so hysterically funny if you like raunchy stupid humor.  But I HIGHLY recommend The Hour I First Believed by Wally Lamb - it was fabulous!  Oh and The Art Of Racing In The Rain by Garth Stein.  Those were the best books I've read all year!

My favorite book ever is She has Come Undone by Wally Lamb! I may need to check out this other one!!!!

I'm reading Last Chance Saloon - it's a chick book. It's OK, my sister in law gave it to me, so I just went with it! I want to read Jodi Piccoult's latest - I think it's called Handle With Care..... but I recently read The Pact by her - so I'm thinking maybe wait before reading another one of her books!

  • oh man i LOVED last chance saloon.  i thought it got much better toward the end...

i'm going to risk my reputation on this recommendation....but seriously, if you haven't read the Twilight books, do it.  i made fun of them non-stop while a friend was reading them, and when she finally forced me to read the first one, my life practically revolved around the stupid books until i finished the 4th!

  • Currently reading Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger (author of The Time Traveler's Wife). Other books I've read recently are the Sookie Stackhouse series (books that the show True Blood is based on) and The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf which was very good.

If you haven't read Jodi Picoult's books, I would highly recommend those.

  • Trying to get through New Moon.  Twilight was a quick and easy read, but I can't seem to get into New Moon and I really want to finish it before the movie comes out.
  • lol i hear you.  my approach to new moon was "i need to finish this to get edward back."  :)

Agreed!!!  I'm on Team Jacob.  LOL  And I would be going totally against everything I believe in if I didn't recommend any of the Harry Potter books!  I finally got my BFF to read them (she's resisted for years!) and now she is flying through them and is totally obsessed!

  • I bought Nora Robert's - 'Vision in White' for the HM and just found 'Bed of Roses'.  Series is about 4 friends who grow up to start their own wedding consultant biz in CT.

I saw Bed of Roses in the store the other day and I was tempted, but I know I can't untill I finish all my Twilight books, then I'm going to get it.

  • I'm currently reading Voyager, which is the third book in the Outlander series. I highly recommend the series! It's amazing, and incredibly addicting!! The first book is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.

    Books Read in 2014: 10
  • i just started Duma Key by Stephen King

i have a huuuuuuuuuge pile of books to read- i buy them when i see them, but havent had a chance to do much reading lately.  i will let you know how the rest are :-)

  • Glad to see I'm not the only non-teen jumping on the Twilight bandwagon. I totally made fun of my sister for getting caught up in the hysteria and then picked up the first book last summer just to prove a point. I got absolutely hooked and read the entire series in three weeks! Can't wait for the movie!
  • I just finished The Elegance of the Hedgehog.  It was so good!  I also just reread New Moon and read Sarah's Key-which was very sad.  I don't know what to read next!
