Where are my SYTYCD watchers?
Ok, so finally last night was the first GOOD solid show for me this season.
Both of Mia Michaels' routines were outstanding. Although, I really think Katee is an overrated dancer on this show. I so wished she didnt get that routine. Kerrington and Twitch were perfect for the bed piece.
The Mandy Moore "Alone" routine with the shirt prop was actually my absolute favorite though....I actually want to learn that choreography. Can I have a hottie like Will to dance with as well? Man, he should get a modeling contract or something after this is all done. He is GORGEOUS!!!
The mambo was a great choreography too, but was not executed well. I predict Kourtney Lyn to go home tonight.
I LOVED both broadway routines.
The slow hip hop routine with Kourtney Lyn was one of the worst dances I have seen on the show to date. Just plain badddd.

I totally agreed with Nigel when he said there were 3-4 couples who are just outstanding on the show - ironically they are the same 3-4 couples I vote for every week!
I actually like Katee, but I'll be interested to see how she does when the partners split. I didn't like her much when they were naming the top 20, but she's growing on me. The Mia Michaels routines were awesome and I also really enjoyed the Mandy Moore dance with the shirt as well. I agree - it's time for Kourtney Lyn to go home.
My top 2 couples are Twitchington
and Chelsie and Mark.
I haven't seen this week's show yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing so many good routines! I've never cared much for Kourtney Lyn - nothing against her, I just think there are better dancers. And her nose bothers me!
My absolute favorite is Joshua. I can't wait until the partners split (when will that be?) because I think he is carrying Katee futher than she should go. I dislike her for her attitude and think she is overrated. I'm also really starting to like Chelsie and Mark. Mark is a totally weird, unimpressive guy until he starts dancing, then he turns into this sexy dancing machine!!!
Per my niece from the sit down they had at a master class taught by Mia Michaels and Wade Robson........Mia choreographs to ideas that just come to her in her head. She gets her ideas from life experiences, dreams, thoughts, people watching and her mind goes to work to create things. When she gets a vision in her head she puts that vision on the stage. Its beautiful. That must be why all of her routines are very powerful...based on true intermost feelings/thoughts. Some of her routines (such as the routine dedicated to her dad's passing last season) just give you chills.
Didnt Mia choreograph the group routine last week? Now THAT was edgy, but darn genius.

Overall, I think the men are so much more talented than the women this season. Katee and Joshua, Twitchington and Chelsie and Mark are my favorites, and Will is terrific. His partner looks like Haylie Duff and I notice that more than I notice any of her dancing.
Josh and I were discussing this last night- do you think the top choreographers (Mia, Mandy Moore, Wade) get to choose who they choreograph for? It always seems that the favorite couples get the top routines. I'm sure this has a lot to do with the tour also- they wouldn't want to let the worst dancers get a kickass routine because then they couldn't have it on the tour...or I guess they'd have to let someone else perform it. Anyway, we were just thinking about this last night.
I hope Courtney L. goes. Something about her...she bugs.
I've always wondered that too! It does seem that way and you know they always have that caveat at the end that says that the producers do weigh in on the outcome of things.
Oh I totally agree that the producers have a "say" in who is the winner...and comment certain ways to sway the votes...just like on American Idol.
And I also think people like Mia pick who they choregraph for...certain choreography fits certain dancers, styles...so they want to match that. I think Twitch and Kerrington were perfect for bed routine because of height of Kerrington v. Twitch and Kerrington had the "look" for the girl role, and had the flexability and proper skill for the moves. I dont know if I would have felt the same with another couple this season dancing the bed dance.
The bed routine was my favorite of the night.
I forgot to add- Will and Twitch- yum! They are hot hot hot!
I can't even stand to listen to the judges anymore. Mary and her screaming and Nigel with his gross flirting with all the women. Blech. We fast-forward.
I KNOW! Will is just PHENOMINAL!!!!!
