So, we got our 2nd installment of our 2008 taxes......went up a whole lot!! Granted we had pretty low taxes to begin with so I'm guessing we are around where everyone else is in our building but come on!
Just to give you an idea, we paid $509 in 2007 (yeah, I know, super freakin low!) and we just got a bill saying that our 2008 taxes is $1353! Still not bad but we have a small 1 bedroom condo in Rogers Park and I hear taxes are going up again next year. Man, I miss renting!
How much did your taxes go up?
Re: Cook County Homeowners
I think ours stayed the same. One of the attorney's our on board looked over the assessment and I think he said due to the lower sale prices of our recent sales that our taxes didn't really change. We also live in Lakeview.
Ready for summer!
