We found an awesome house! Yay!

Its in West Salem, in wine country. We're at the top of a big hill-when we look out our window, we see a sweeping Christmas Tree farm to the left, and to the right is a vineyard. Its veerrrry pretty. We have 1.5 acres to ourselves, so Leo can romp and frolic as much as he wants. Bonus: the property has fruit-producing apple, pear and plum trees.

The place itself is pretty cool-it reminds me of a luxe ski lodge. Its technically only a one bedroom, but the 'bedroom' is the entire 2nd floor-loft style, so tons and tons of open space. Cathedral ceilings.

The floor below that is also open space-but I'm weird so I really dig that. Then, off to the side (but actually divided by a wall-a brick one! i love bricks) is a large southern style kitchen that i'm in love with.

Pros: all of the above. Plus, super easy commutes for both of us (well unless DH gets xferred to Beaverton). Cool landlords who are crunchy and laid back

Cons: Being at the top of this hill means lots of snow and ice in winter. Fortunately, we can both WAH if need be.

Anyway, I just wanted to share. I didnt want to get too excited until we had the keys and codes (got them today). Send good vibes our way that everything goes smoothly during the move.
