h1n1 vaccine - anyone able to get one?
so a few weeks ago if you asked me, i would have said that no way am i getting one. well, i had a cold early last week that only lasted 2 days...but it's STILL lingering in my lungs. my breathing is not back to normal at all. (i have asthma)...and well it was enough to frighten me into considering the H1N1 vaccine again. So, I did a bunch more research and now I think I want to get it. Especially since I'm in elementary schools 3-4 days a week now, the chances of me picking it up are pretty high.
Has anyone been able to get the vaccine yet? It looks like it's only been available in multnomah county right now to pregnant women and children under 5. This is where I've been looking: http://www.mchealth.org/swineflu/vaccine.shtml
Is this info correct? Does anyone have a better site to look for the vacc?

If you poke around on flu.gov there are some locators there. There are a couple of schools having them today, one in Sherwood and one in Forest Grove. And a couple more later this week for people in priority groups. Which you would be in, because you have asthma.
I'd totally go get one if I had the time. :-p
that's where i looked, but i only searched multnomah county, which is what came up saying that they didnt have much. can i go to a different county even though i live in multnomah? if so, what's the closest county? clackamas?
nm - i looked in washington county and tigard high school came up right by my house..they're having them on nov 3rd...i think im going to go get one!!!
ETA: do i need to bring proof that i have asthma? guess i could just bring my inhaler

and click on the school based h1n1 vaccine sites, it shows you where it's available...jeff&em..it's going to be in hillsboro on tuesday! I actually think i might drive up to that one instead of tigard on wednesday since i have dance wednesday night.

I didn't realize you were in Multnomah county. :-p I was wondering if they'd say anything if I went to a clinic in Multnomah since I'm pretty sure we live in Washington.
Anyway, I'm going to try to go to the one in HBO on Wednesday. I do have class at 6, so I might have to just bail if I can't get in quick enough and do another one later in November or December.
Now if I could just find my normal flu shot, I'd be happy . . . : )
