3 tons of junk is now gone from our house

I can't beleive how much we've ripped out of our house, and just junk the old owners left behind (they left like 8 bags of sandbox sand--and they had no kids). We made 3 trips to the transfer station over the summer and DH just did another one this weekend. Our grand total for stuff we got rid of is around 3 tons!

Re: 3 tons of junk is now gone from our house

  • Wow! That is alot of stuff! That has to make you feel like you accomplished something. I cannot believe someone would leave junk behind after selling a house.

  • We got stuck with a lot of junk when we moved in our house. The guy just up and left. We ended up throwing a massive yardsale and making money off his stuff. It is so ridiculous how insensitive people are when moving.
  • DH's first house was a condemned foreclosure.  The former owners went to jail for their illegal activities.  You don't even want to know the stuff he found, trust me.

  • Wow, 3 tons of someone else's junk...

I'm sure we'd easily have 3 tons of our own stuff to get rid of.  I'd be very angry about having to dump the previous owner's crap!
