A friend told me about a cable that you can run from your lap top to your tv so that you can stream videos from your computer to the tv. What exactly is this called? And any recs on where I can get one?
Re: What is this Called?
I actually just posted about this yesterday on this board.

I'm not sure what kind of videos you are wanting to watch but if you are enrolled with netflix they give you a number of diffrent ways you can stream to your TV. We have an XBox 360 and can watch anything that is in "Watch Instantly". They say to use an Ethernet cable.
HTH
FI says it depends on the laptop & the tv. Most likely, it's an S-Video cord. It could also be HDMI or VGA cable, but older laptops don't have HDMI and most tvs don't have VGA. He thinks probably S-Video. You can get one just about anywhere- Best Buy, Target, Radio Shack.
He also says S-Video is only for video, not audio. If you want audio, you need a Mini-to-RCA cable.
Ok, I have no idea what any of this means, but FI works with this kind of stuff every day, so I hope he's not leading you astray.
While looking for something completely unrelated, I stumbled across this tonight!

Hope it helps!
