Yes we did. We managered to close Thursday, dispite more issues the beginning of last week that threatened to push back our closing again. Closing went very smoothly; our attorney was great.
Friday we moved 4 car loads of boxed up stuff. I was still sick at that point, so I was pretty exhausted. My parents and my brother's gf came to help so DH and my dad brought a lot of the boxes upstairs and the rest of us got the kitchen somewhat set up.
Saturday was gorgeous, even though it wasn't sunny. That was a good thing because it meant we didn't get as hot and didn't have the glare in our eyes. But it was nice and warm which helped a lot. It was only us and my parents (my brother flaked out) so it took us 2 hours to pack everything into the truck, then another 3.5 to get stuff out (since we have stairs at the new house). DH had to call a friend to come help us near the end because my dad was exhaused. All in all it took 7 hours with lunch and breaks.
I'm glad it is over and we don't have to move again for a long time.
