Okay, so it looks like next Friday was good for most of us that are interested in going.
Now we just need a place... any ideas? I've been craving Sushi Samba since we went there that other time, but I'm open to trying almost anything.

but re: caliente, i went a few years ago and thought the food was just ok and that it was pricey given the quality.
isle thai is just around the corner from both caliente and sushi samba is really good (and pretty cheap) ?

Can I suggest Veselka? its a diner - polish - ukranian food. Someone recommended it to me and I've been dying to go and check it out. They have a $$ price range (11 - 30) and of course there are specials and some cheaper fare.
I'm on a budget as well.

Is there anyway we could do something in midtown? Maybe Chef Yu (http://www.chefyu-nyc.com/). They have great drink specials and the food is really cheap (like $10 for a full meal).
