HOLE-LEE-COW

So we went to B's friend/co-workers house in vancouver for a BBQ today.

i wanted to leave before Ft.Vancouver got done with their fire works.

HOLY SHIIT BATMAN!

i've never seen so many cones, copes, flashing lights, smoke, and people in orange shiney vests on one stretch of road in my life.

i had had a couple beers early on in the evening. no where near even a slight buzz but all of a sudden there is a cop behind me and the people infront of me slow wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy down. I mean we're talking going 30 in a 60 on the freeway. holy crap.

i'm so glad we're home. my anxiety was through the roof.

Re: HOLE-LEE-COW

  • We didn't actually go to Ft. Vancouver, but to Delta Park (not recommended to see the Ft. Vancouver show, live and learn), but we were impressed with how open the interstate was on the Portland side.....I heard that it was a horrible thing so we avoided it.  We started thinking maybe we should have gone since the traffic was so open!
  • It's not the freeway that gets backed up, it's all the little side streets in Vancouver. It would literally take you at least an hour to go about a 15 minute walk to the freeway. Once you hit the freewa, you're fine.
