It's our version of secret santa, and we've been doing it every year since I can remember. (except last year) You're given a secret santa and you buy them a xmas ornament for their tree or house. If they dont' celebrate xmas than you send them an ornament that corresponds to their religious holiday.
We usually send it by the first week of December so that nestie has all of December to show off their ornament.

I'm organizing the whole thing through elfster. There you can set up a profile and say what holiday you celebrate and even add a wishlist.
