Ice Cream
I have a hard time deciding what ice cream is the best. (Ice Cream Shoppes that is!). Although I do enjoy Whitey's in the QC... what other competition is there 
I am trying to decide what I like in Peoria. I had Spotted Cow this evening, Strawberry Shortcake... I had to get a pint! But I have also recently be turned on to The Ice Cream Shack on Adams. I am curious to try out Lou's Drive-In on Knoxville.
Although don't get me wrong... I do enjoy my Blizzards at DQ! Now if only a Rita's came to the area!

Yes, I should try them out some time. I tried the Ice Cream place in East Peoria (at Meadows & Washington) last year but wasn't impressed. That place was listed in Oddball Illinois (a book for us dorky tourists). While riding my bike 2 weeks ago I noticed a little soft serve stand on the bike trail right at the EP/Morton city line. Of course I never carry cash with me when bike riding. Maybe sometime I'll venture there as well.

Where is Country Style?? We'll be up in the QC in 2 weekends (Just trying RAGBRAI for a day for me from Tipton to LeClaire.)
FIL likes Tastee Freeze on Rockingham... cheap and closer to home.
I was talking to an IL cousin about Country Style... mentioned that the place no longer exists? (If it is/was by Five Points.) The fire department was next door and the building still burned down. Now it's a bar?!?!?!????
I don't know if this is the same place or not.
