So my toe has been numb for like a week

Doctor is clearly not worried about it and says it's due to my swelling.  Whatever.

Anyway- funny...it just cracked and so I thought "Oh I wonder if it has feeling again!"  So I touched it.  Still numb, but is throbbing at the same time.  It's such a bizarre feeling.  I'm intrigued.  Sick, I know.

Re: So my toe has been numb for like a week

  • God, pregnancy terrifies me. It's just one toe?
  • LOL!  Don't let it terrify you...I'm just one of those people who gets all the "only 1% of the population gets this!!!!" comments from doctors.  I'm a kook :)

Yeah, it's just on my right big toe.  My right foot is much more swollen than the left.   But most people don't have swelling this early on.  Mine started at 7 weeks and just got worse.  My blood pressure is still low, so they're not worried about it.

  • I am totally terrified. I am also "one of those people". Switching birth control pills gives me morning sickness. Accidentally taking two bcp in one day gives me morning sickness. Every brand I've tried has made my hands and feet swell and get itchy from the extra estrogen in my system, and I have the dark marks on my face that you're only supposed to get from pregnancy.  To top it all off, my mom's feet grew a full 1/2 size with each of her three children, and I'm already a 9.5/10! No pregnancies for me, I think.
  • Wow you sound just like me.  Taking 2 BC pills used to make me puke too.  And sadly I did it all the time because I would always forget to take them.  I eventually went on the patch (which raised my blood pressure higher than I was comfortable- still low, but too high for me), and then the ring.  They didn't make me sick.
