Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

  • I'm glad the Washington DP law was protected but it's my hope that people don't get complacent and stop fighting for equal marriage.

  • I agree. Unfortunately we have a state DOMA, have already tried the courts and lost. I know that this is seen as a big step in the right direction and I'm sure that in years to come overturning DOMA and expanding it to equal marriage will be the goal, but it will be  a hard fight. For now I'm just glad that it appears that a majority--albeit a slim one--supports families like mine.

  • I am late coming to the party due to being home yesterday with my DD who had another ear infection develop.  I'm with Joy...it's a small step and we have a LONG way to go, but it's better than turning things back.
