Please recommend your vet!

We got a puppy yesterday and need to find a vet stat.   We live in the Lincoln Square/Lakeview North area.  Does anyone have recommedations for a vet (preferably that charges reasonably for services, if there is such a thing!)?

Congrats on the puppy!  I have a great vet, but he is out in Joliet...a little too much of a drive.  Good luck.

Congrats on your new puppy.? We just addopted one about 3 weeks ago and they are a lot of work!!! but so worth it.? We take our puppy to Higgins Animal Hospital at Belmont and Paulina and our vet is Dr. Bartel. We have only been there once and are going back in a week for our 2nd round of shots and they have been very helpful.??

I take my cats to the Jewell Animal Hospital at the corner of Sunnyside and Lincoln (between Wilson and Montrose, across from the library).  Dr. Jewell is awesome.  When my cat got sick with kidney failure last year, he did everything he could to save her - and then gave us a discount on all her bills because he knew we were just about to get married.

This may be a little far for you but I take my dogs to Portage Park Animal Hospital on Irving Park. They have a puppy wellness program that is a set price and includes all of the puppy's shots and visits. I did the program when we got our dog a couple years ago. I have been taking our dogs to Portage Park Animal hospital for years and they are great. 773-725-0260 in case you are interested.

We love Family Pet in Lincoln Park.  It's actually farther for us than you now that we've moved, but everyone there rocks and I love having a vet that I can call with questions who will take a look at our records and get back to me.  Feels more like someone who cares, you know?

We use Bloom Animal Hosptial on Clark in Lincoln Park.  All the docs there are good but it is kind of pricey.  The nice thing is that they have early evening appointments and saturdays and a parking lot.

I use Blum Animal Hospital on Clark. My vet is Dr. Faigle (I think I'm spelling it right), but we have seen other docs there too and always had good experiences.

I take my puppy and my diabetic cat to Urban Vet Care on Lincoln Avenue in Lakeview.  Dr. C is the absolute best and truly cares.  I can't say that it is cheap but I believe that it is comparable and they have great service and I know that they love my guys as much as I do.
