Random Question re: photography studios
DH and I wanted to get our picture taken for our Christmas cards, but we also want to have our dog in the photo. We really don't want to spend much at all so we were thinking about just going to JC Penneys or Target or one of those places. Does anyone know of a studio where you can bring your dog for photos that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

Re: Random Question re: photography studios
We had our photos done with our dogs about 2 years ago with JC Penny's. There were a few rules though, we had to be the last appointment of the day and we had to pay a sitting fee for each dog. We ended up purchasing the family rewards card and it was worth it in the end. I would call JC Penny and Sears and see what their policy's are.
My family did a family picture at Mountain's Edge Exploration Park with our photographer - Hilary (of Helton Photography):

She also has a studio. She's creative and flexible so can probably meet you somewhere you would like in your photos (ex: favorite park, location, etc.). Good luck and hope this helps!

I used to work for the JCP portrait studios. The JCP and Target studios are the same company (they just rent the space in the stores).
Like PP said, you are going to be the last appointment of the day (they do this for both safety and ease), you'll have to pay a sitting fee at the JCP (Target doesn't have sitting fees, so that will be the way to go... even if you purchase the Portrait club card from JCP, it won't cover the dogs, unfortunately), and you'll have to sign a pet waiver (which isn't a big deal, just something saying that if something happens to or because of your pet, they aren't responsible).
The Target store in Boca Park usually isn't that busy, so you might be able to get in there easier than any other location in the valley.
