Although my new-every-two isn't up until May, I can't wait any longer to get a BlackBerry. I am definitely getting my H the Curve for $50, but I can get myself the Tour for $150, and I am wondering if the extra money is worth it. I ALWAYS buy a new phone and then immediately regret not getting a "better" one, so I am leaning toward putting out the extra money, but I was wondering if anyone had experience with both and had an opinion.
I am someone who will probably use it often for things like Facebook and Twitter, and I would also like to have some web browser functionality. I have an iPod touch that I use now when I am in a WiFi hotspot, but it would be awesome to be able to use stuff like that without having to worry about having a WiFi connection all the time.
Re: Is the $100 extra bucks for a BB Tour worth it?
I recently got the Curve and DH got the Tour at the same time. He'll be taking his Tour back for the second time shortly because the trackball stopped working AGAIN. The Curve has worked perfectly for me, and I like the display a lot more than his Tour's display.
I second the crackberry forums, though!

is web browsing faster with the tour though?
i have a curve and love it, but i would also love it if the web was faster on it.
also, i thought i had heard they fixed the trackball issues?
That software is available on the Curve as well.
I really like my Tour, but I'm still having issues with the trackball. One of my co-workers is on his third Tour and another is on her fifth. All trackball issues.
Other than that, I think it's wonderful. I haven't used the Curve, though, so I can't compare the two.
Only slightly off-topic, if you'd prefer that "new every two" be "new every one" instead, I believe the price difference is only an extra $50 for a one-year instead of a two-year contract. I know that's how it is for T-Mobile and I'm pretty sure that's how it is for Verizon.
It's a relatively small price difference up front for a big price difference every year when you decide you might want to upgrade your phone.
