Pet Sitters/ Kennels in the Mt P area?

Does anyone have any rec's or places to stay away from? I've never hired a pet sitter or boarded my animals so I'm new to all of this..any help is appreciated.

Re: Pet Sitters/ Kennels in the Mt P area?

  • There is one by Shem Creek. It says on the window they are cage free. I doubt they would take my pit, so I didn't call them.

We go to Moonshadow on John's Island. They are great.

  • We used Paw Plaza in Mt P off of Long Point Rd.  Our dogs loved it! My German Shepherd mix can be quite nasty sometimes, but she was totally fine with the people there. They also will do private play time with no other dogs arounds, which we did for ours, and that may be good for your pit.

  • I have used Fetch Doggie Daycare in West Ashley for my labs. It is great because they don't charge extra for daycare and they give your dog a bath and wash any bedding before sending them home for no extra cost. It is $30 a night and the daycare is open from 7am-7pm so by the time they close and feed the dogs they are so tired they go right to sleep. I think my dog misses going there when we pick him up more than he misses us!
  • Thanks for the rec's girls. I'll have to give these places a call and visit!
