Need your fabulous ideas....
OK?I know I will go over to The Knot for more ideas but thought I would ask you experts first. My cousin?s daughter is engaged and we are starting some preliminary planning. (YEAH!)
A couple of first requirements: Downtown, a carriage ride from the ceremony site to the reception, she thinks she wants the reception at Union Station to honor her Papaw and his love of trains.
So......where to have the ceremony that is a carriage ride to Union Station?
Any other first thoughts or suggestions??? And any ballpark ideas on pricing for Union Station. (I am emailing them this afternoon!)
Thanks~
Re: Need your fabulous ideas....
What about having the ceremony AT Union Station- and then taking a carriage ride around the circle for pictures and back to the reception? I don't know much about the facility- but might be an option.
Maybe an outdoor ceremony on the outdoor plaza at the Pan Am building?
There is also the Mavris Arts Center- just south of downtown off of Delaware (?)- http://www.mavrisculturalcenter.net/ It would probably be easier to have the whole thing there as well- but there is a train track right behind it. Not sure about the carriage ride though- might be out of the area- even though it's still downtown.
That is a good idea, carriage around the circle.I lvoe the Mavris Center too!
She has in her idea something to do w/ trians to honor family members..hence the Union Station conncetion. But I think we might have some room to play around w/ the train idea.
Thanks!
