need recommendation of a place for Thanksgiving dinner near Delray beach

Hi: We are flying to Delray beach for the Thanksgiving weekend!  We will be visiting Palm beach too.  Can anyone suggest a family friendly (we take our 1.5 year old daughter with us) restuarant for Thanksgiving dinner? tia.

Re: need recommendation of a place for Thanksgiving dinner near Delray beach

  • Do you want a Thanksgiving meal?  If so, I'm not sure. I know Boston Market will have stuff, but that's more of a fast food place.  Or perhaps the Honey Baked Ham store? But that's to go...

A lot of regular chain restaurants are opened year round though!  Sorry I couldn't be of more help :(

  • Ye we want a Thanksgiving meal in a nice resturaunt ( not fast food or chains), that's why I am asking in this local board, as this will be my first time to this part of FL.
  • My DH and I were engaged at a restaurant called the Sundy House. It's our favorite restaurant in the Delray area, it's absolutely beautiful there. We go every year for our anniversary. It's a very romantic restaurant at night, they have private gazebos for you to dine in and they have a lot of outdoor seating surrounded by waterfalls. It's really nice. They also have a main dining room, I've never ate inside there but have seen a lot of kids in the past. I see on their website they have a Thanksgiving brunch not sure if that's something you are interested in and don't know what their prices are like. If this is something you would like you can call and make reservations and ask for outdoor seating and it's pretty private so it's perfect for someone with a child. HTH

Here is a link to their website...

  • That looks very nice, but do they only have brunch on Thanksgiving day? Our flight arrives at Miami around 11am, and by the time we get our rental car; drive over to Delray beach, DD will need a nap in the hotel, so a dinner is what will work for us....
  • I'm not sure if they only have brunch that day. You might want to call and ask them how it'll work. They are normally open everyday for dinner, so I'm not sure how it'll work on Thanksgiving.
  • Thanks, I will call them. BTW, your baby is sooo cute!
  • Aw, thank you! Good luck with finding a place to have your Thanksgiving dinner.
