TTC question (no tmi)

DH and I decided we want to start TTC.  For those who may know, would it be a huge deal if I didn't finish my BC pill pack?  I read that it's recomended, but is it a big deal?

Re: TTC question (no tmi)

  • Yes, you should finish it.  It's best for your body to start fresh with a new cycle.  I don't know the specifics but I do know that pretty much all doctors will advise finishing the pack and starting TTC after AF comes and goes.

    Good luck!  :)

  • Ditto! GL TTC! Congrats :)
  • Definitely.  When you are TTC, you want your cycle to be as normal as possible.  You want to start the cycle with AF, and when it would typically arrive, and then you want to be sure that you have the distance between AF and ovulation.  That way, it's not as much of a shot in the dark.  If you stop your bc pack midway, you really have no way of knowing when to successfully TTC because you've gotten your cycle off track.  A good book to read, that many of us here read, is Taking Charge of Your Fertility.  It can be a little stressful to read but it's also enormously helpful.  Good luck - how exciting for you!
  • yes, definately finsih the pack,  but good luck and loads of DUST to you!!!
