Hiking in the Area?

I'm desperate to get out next weekend and go for a day hike, but don't know where to head. . .anyone have any suggestions for a good day hike that isn't killer (I'm not in the best of shape). . . ?

Re: Hiking in the Area?

  • I dont know of many... we just moved here a couple of years ago but I have heard that Camelsback Park on the north end is good especially if you have dogs.  I know that Lucky Peak has some trails and the foothills near Eagle as well.
  • Table rock is a good morning hike (get out EARLY).  I would try to go into the mountains if you want a full day hike because of the heat.  I think there is some stuff up at Bogus and then out of Lowman.
  • I don't know where abouts you're at, but Priest Lake is B-E-A-U-tiful! Mostly shaded and there are lots of lakeside stops along the trail. Lots of creeks and streams if you want to take your dog. I just love it there.
