I have finally slept for longer than 3 hours!

We had a fairly good night with Allyson on Saturday night so we decided to put her in her crib last night for the first time instead of in our room in the cradle.  Well she went down at 8:30 and slept til 2:30!!! I woke up at 2 in shock that she had woken up yet.  So she was back asleep by 3 then slept til 5:30.  Then she was up til 6:30 but went back down again til 8:30.  That 6 hours was absolutely wonderful!  I hope she starts doing this every night!  Trying not to get my hopes up but keeping my fingers crossed!

Re: I have finally slept for longer than 3 hours!

  • That's great!!  That's how STTN started with Alyssa.  It's a great feeling, isn't it?  And you feel much more refreshed, too.  Good luck - I hope it continues for you!
  • You are doing better than we are, it's still about every or 4 and Friday and Saturday she was up for 1.5 hours straight in the middle of the night.  Don't you feel so much better after a little good sleep?  Hope she keeps it up!
  • Excellent!  I found the same thing with both of my kids, once they have their own space the sleeping just gets better and better!

You sound great!  Happy for you!

  • Thats great!  Slowly but surely works!  She will be sleeping even longer stretchs soon but isnt it fun how excited you get over 3 hours!! lol  Keep going Allyson!!
  • Hey that's progress!  I hope it starts to become a habit for her :-)  Don't be surprised if she'll have a couple good days, then a couple bad...that's how it works one step forward two steps back and then one day you wake up and realize "OMG I didn't get up last night!"  And you'll look over at a perfectly content sleeping baby and breathe a huge sigh of relief!
