new phone help

I don't post here very often but you girls seem to know what you are talking about, so I thought I would ask. My husband and I need to enter the world of smart phones and are totally clueless. We have never had data phones before, so wondering if you can recommend the right phones for us. We currently have sprint, but are willing to switch to at&t for an iphone. We are mostly going to be using the phone for work, email and some web browsing. Would you recommend a blackberry, if so, which one. Or should we switch over for an iphone? We want something that is easy to use. We are intrigued by the iphone app world but don't know if we would use it enough to justify the costs. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Re: new phone help

  • If you're going to be doing a ton of email the iPhone can get a little old to type on all the time. Web browsing is amazing and just about everything has an app anyway. The iPhone is extremely user friendly. I previously had the BB Curve and I did love it, but I have to say my iPhone is 100% better.

You can always stop by Sprint and AT&T to play with the BB's and iPhone.

  • You may want to check the coverage for AT&T in your area too.  I've heard it's great in bigger cities, but it's the only phone service I've ever paid the $200 to break the contract on b/c it was so bad.  My friend lives in NYC and she drops calls but she says it's tolerable.
Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

  • I like my BB Curve 8900... BUT the keys are really smaller. Much smaller than H's older BB.
  • I've have the droid from Verizon, I posted more on that thread, but I really like it so far.
