I'm around, just signed on for the first time. I'm trying to be good and not Nest a bunch from work anymore!!
Don't feel guilty! I'm just trying to cut down since I'm still relatively new here and I need to put my best foot forward.

I'm on and off today, getting ready to fly to NM Wed. for my cousin's wedding. It feels like no matter how much I plan, the last few days before a trip are always a whirlwind!
I'm here but I'm in more of a reading mood than typing...but there's not much to type.
Steph and LeeAnn are definitely missed!

Can I tell you I was still talking about that when we got home. ?Really? ?How could I be so dumb. ?That was my blonde moment I guess.?
I'm on & off today. My "lovely" company makes us take off today unless we get director approval to work. I think its just so they don't have to pay us extra money at the end of the year. The kicker is that today must come out of our PDO account. When I asked why I must use vacation days for a required holiday, the HR director said she advises people to take their vacations around the holidays...

I don't think we had a chance anyway with two computer geeks and an engineer. Seriously?!?!
Star - They do stuff like that at my office too. We get 10 holidays a year. We get the major ones off and then we take the rest when the plant shuts down between Christmas and New Years. If there aren't enough holidays left to cover the shut down, you are REQUIRED to take your vacation days. I honestly don't see how they can REQUIRE you to do that. I certainly don't complain because I love having that week off, but I would totally understand if someone did. It would stink to have to use up your days at a time when you don't necessarily want to.
