I'm doing pretty good, thanks for asking.  I spent the 4th with my grandmother and parents, and they're all doing okay.  Most of the time I'm alright as long as I stay busy, but sometimes it just hits me that my grandfather is gone.  The brevity of the fact that I'll never see him again in this life sometimes smacks me in the fact, but I guess that's normal

I lost my grandmother a few years ago (suddenly) and it hit me really hard.  It took me a LONG TIME before I could come to terms with the fact that I would never see her again. 

We missed you Friday.  Hopefully we can get together soon.

Aww I'm sorry hun! Let me know if you need anything! I know sometimes the loss of a loved one can come back on certain days.  I know with my dads mom I still sometimes forget she is gone.

Isn't it funny how that happens?  I was just fine on Thursday, then it hit me that he wouldn't be at our family gtg on Friday...or any more of them!  Of course I already knew that, but it became real to me at that moment!

I would have posted more but had a bunch of things pop up at work today   blah! Now it's 4:30 and I am ready to go home! I will Nest tonight though - the Hubby is in Chicago
