Re: Thanksgiving Dessert - clicky poll

  • I voted all of the above, but in actuality, I would do a couple of different options...maybe traditional pumpkin and pecan or apple?
  • I vote you make the caramel apple pie and the chocolate bourbon pie, and just buy a good pumpkin pie. Costco makes a great one, it's HUGE and it's only $6
  • The all of the above was sort of a joke -- I'm thinking some combination of apple, pumpkin and pecan but can't choose.  There is also a pumpkin layer cake with cream cheese filling/frosting in the mix that I forgot to add.

Chrissy --those are the choices I'm leaning toward as well -  the pumpkin pie is the easy one - I can make a pumpkin pie in about 10 minutes (confession - I buy a graham cracker crust for it because IMO its the only way to eat it) but either way, I plan to bake the day before so it shouldnt be too much work to make some combination of all 3.

  • I voted all of the above, but I think you should def make Apple Pie, Pumpkin pie and Bourban Chocolate Pecan pie (but that's a selfish vote, since I want the recipe to the last one).

  • everything sounds great, but i'd definitely go for variety, i'd probably do a traditional apple or pumpkin, then do one of the more creative recipes...

  • drool...

I voted pumpkin b/c thanksgiving doesn't seem right if you don't have it.  I also thought pecan sounded yummy.  Tell you what, why don't you make a few samples and send them my way. I'd be more than happy to tell you which one is the best!

  • How about pumpkin chocolate chip cheesecake drizzled with caramel and whipped cream? I can give you the recipe in a couple days if you'd like it. Muy yum.
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.
