Deer

Deer was running at full speed next to me when I was driving to work today. Slammed on the brakes as I thought the deer was going to jump in front of me (I was going about 35-40 at the time). I think this is an omen that my car will be totalled in a wreck long before it dies a natural death.

I really am suprised how many deer I see out in our neck of the woods. But of course the hunters would be all "I never get them when I am at the deer stand!"

Went out to Hardee's on Monday (I know... fatty greaseness). I bet 1/2 the customers were coming in from deer hunting... camo, face paint, you name it.

Any close encounters of deer for you lately?

Re: Deer

  • Uhg, I hate this time of year...I nailed a deer two years ago and I still have anxiety driving, especially at night.  My husband hates it, I never want to leave city limits this time of year in the dark.

  • I don't see a lot of deer in town.  DH just got back from deer hunting in WI.  Fortunately, he doesn't paint his face.
