Show me your stockings
in Holidays
I never had the chance last year to pick up stockings, this year I'm on the hunt. Our color scheme is reds, browns and golds. I'm looking for more antique-looking stockings, any ideas? Show me your stockings and how you display them at Christmas. On the fireplace mantle? What if we have no fireplace, how should I display them?

Well, it's not actually such a good picture, and the house was cluttered, but you can kind of see how we hang our stockings here. It's just from the bottom of a window frame. Not ideal, but we also don't have a fireplace and no other really great place for them. Plus, I like the idea that it still looks like they're hanging from something and not just randomly on a wall or anything. (Oh, and our stockings are just boring, cheap felt ones, so I'm not much help for the style)

We bought our stockings from Pier 1 last year, mainly because I am super picky and wanted something that looked handcrafted and unique. We dont have a fire place either, so we hang ours from stocking holders on our TV-stand (its actually an old antique buffet). I am trying to find a pic of the stockings...
