So I spoke to someone in my firm today that knows a member of the Sem. County schoolboard. They said to him that the land across from us WAS indeed bought with intention of building an elementary school in that lot, but they think the land is too big for an elementary school, but it appears a school WILL be going up there within the next 5 years. No plans to widen the road either.
This SUCKS.
Re: ~~ILoveMyGeek~~~
Well if a high school ever goes there my FIL will sell the house.
I bet you most of The Cove, Chase Groves, and our place will all protest it. If they widen the road even I dont know how it would work because of the tracks although have to say airport blvd. has been wonderful since the widening. Can we fight it? I have no idea but I am sure we would end up losing. After UCF built that stadium right on top of the neighborhoods, and the citizens lost the battle, I give up.
We are trying to figure our a final color scheme for our house. Yet another neighbor did the bunglehouse gray so I am not going to be the 4th house of 15 houses to have that color lol (sigh) on to plan B I guess. My FIL plans to come down for a visit which will be first time MIL has been down since Cancer diagnosis. I think he is gonna pain the house then. HOA will have to chill out and stop sending me warnings until then.
I hope the school board just resells the property. I guess another community would be the most ideal thing IF they HAVVVE to tear down the woods...greedy developers. A grocery or a school is just gonna be too crazy.
I just get ticked more and more woods get torn down while empty shopping centers remain. Why not tear them down and rebuild? Oh no we have to kill the forest first. Bleh. Time for bed.
