My Granddad's birthday
His birthday party is Saturday, and I am so excited. Ever since I was little I always looked forward to his birthday...kind of seeing it as the start of the holidays. Now that I am older I really relish every birthday of his. My whole family gets together every year whether we have it out somewhere, or like this year just at home. I just feel so lucky that I am nearly 30 and still have my granddad you know???

That is really great, and very sweet!
I wish I still had my grandparents around, I lost them when I was fairly young. DH still has his around though, and I've known them for many years, so kind of have grandparents again.
