Hi ladies! I'm a regular on the What's Cooking board, but I wanted to stop by here and say hello. My husband's job may be relocating us to Richmond sometime soon. We're coming to visit next weekend, and I'm so excited to see fall colors (which we lack here in Florida). The office is actually in Glen Allen, but we're open to living anywhere.
I don't need any recommendations yet, as an awesome Richmond nestie has given me a ton of info (thanks, Eva!). However, I am guessing I'll have a ton of questions once I return. If we end up moving, I'd love to come to a GTG. We won't know anyone in the area, and the nest definitely helped me meet people when I moved to Orlando a year and half ago.
Anyway, I guess I could be meeting some of you soon, so I look forward to getting to "know" you on here!
Re: Possible relocation to Richmond area.
Welcome! I lurk a lot on the WC board, so you look familiar. I hope you enjoy your visit here! Fall is a great time of year to be around, the weather has been so nice lately.
I can't remember the last time we had a GTG (I tried to organize one a while back, but there wasn't a lot of interest), but we'll probably give it a shot again soon!

Hey! I normally post on the WC FL board because that's where my husband and I were married.
I just wanted to say welcome!
Hi from someone in Glen Allen Good luck!
I hope you enjoyed your visit! Keep us posted and let us know if you have questions

I don't post here much, but I'm new to Richmond too, so "hi and welcome" and good luck with the move!! Let me know if you need any info!
Thanks so much, ladies! We had a great visit, though getting back to work today was pretty tough. It looks like we'll be coming up there the first week of January, but things aren't set in stone yet. We're still making decisions and waiting on the official offer from E's company.
The office is located in Innsbrook. We looked around Glen Allen and Short Pump for somewhere to live. Is there anywhere else that would be near there and give him a 25 minute drive or less? We'd really like to rent a townhome. The condo we live in right now is privately owned, and we much prefer that to a giant, managed apartment community. However, we realize it might not be easy to find a townhome privately owned that is up for rent. Any suggestions any of you have would be much appreciated. If we move, we'll more than likely come on a "house-hunting" trip sometime in December.
Thank you! I will definitely check that out. It's a little overwhelming trying to find somewhere to live when we're so far away, so I really appreciate the help.
