Hey y'all. What are you up to this weekend? As usual, I'm pretending the weekend is starting early. I'm traveling tomorrow and didn't want to miss the round of updates.
Re: weekend plans?
responding to my own question...I'm having a retreat with an organization I work with this weekend. I'm excited to have some beach time, even if it will be very cold. They're all a lot younger and more hip than me, which sounds like less fun. I'm more hippie than hip.
DW is going to a bachelor party this week, where she'll be the only woman. Neither of us have been to a all-one-gender bachelor/ette party and we're both curious what it will be like. It's also our close friend's baby welcoming, so E will be heading there without me.
The most exciting thing is this is our last weekend apart this year. I've been out of town the last 2 weekends in a row. Bah.
Nothing set in concrete yet.
DW said we are spending Saturday together and then we are going to visit her family on Sunday.
Two Mommies Healing Hearts
Friday night will just be hanging around the house catching up on laundry and the like.
Saturday morning if it is not raining I desperately need to tackle the leaves in the yard. I am gonna toss Annie on my back in the Ergo and rake for as long as she stays happy. Then Sunday night Carol's cousin is in town from Florida so we are going to a big family dinner.
No plans yet for Sunday. Maybe lunch at my favorite mexican place if I can talk Carol into it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend
~Kennedy
I'm looking forward to a pretty low-key weekend. This pregnancy has been kicking my butt lately, and I'm just so glad we don't have any commitments this weekend.
We do have housework to catch up on and some errands and cooking to do, so we'll be fairly busy, but at least there's nowhere we have to be at a certain time, and we have the whole weekend to get everything accomplished.

Tonight, last pre-playoffs practice with my college kids and chris and i are SUPPOSSED to acutally go out for dinner in the city.
Tomorrow, college playoffs then a bridal shower (which i will be slightly late to) in NJ. not sure about the evening.
sunday, hopefully more college playoffs, long run hopefully, cleaning, paper
Tonight we're heading down to the Coach outlet...i've got a gift card and a 20% off coupon burning a hole in my pocket! part of me is secretly hoping they have a cute diaper bag in my budget
Tomorrow we're helping A's bubby pack up her house...she's moving into an apartment in a couple weeks so there is much to do!
Sunday we're having a friend and her baby over for lunch then to the huge playground we have in town.
And in between all the above, we'll be getting the car seat checked, setting up the swing and pack n play, hitting up babies r us for a few last-minute must haves, and working on getting the basement finished!

tonight I have no idea. I may end up working late since I took the kids to the doc for their flu shots this morning and it took 2.5 hours + the time to take them to school and then to work. We may end up going out to dinner. We probably will do a bit of cleaning.
Tomorrow I am taking the kids to sports class and then finding a way to tire them out so they will take a good nap. No idea what afternoon/evening plans will be.
Sunday we are going to an awesome fall festival with Rainbow Families. It is an awesome place and the boys LOVE it there. We'll easily be there for 4+ hours and the kids will fall asleep before we get out of the parking lot. We'll probably hit up Costco on the way home if it isn't too late.
Not quite sure what we will do tonight...C is having quite the day. She had to be at work early to do a presentation for the Director, and just found out that she will be presenting again for another group. She really is AWESOME, but it is stressful when they blind-side her. So, it may just be an early to bed night.
As for tomorrow, we definitely need to get the office cleared out and moved to the basement. Tomorrow we will be at 20 weeks, and work is only going to pick up for both of us. So, housework it will be.
Sunday is going to be a long day. We go to the early Service, but have a congregational meeting after the second Service. We will vote on the pastoral candidate who has been here for two weeks. Congregational meetings are NEVER short. I know C will be tired, so we will probably head back home for a nap. I may do a little on my dissertation, but I am more freaked out about getting the house in order.
Oh yeah, C will do some internet shopping! A definite MUST!
Tonight - Working. Then sleeping.
Tomorrow - we're having some friends over for an Oktoberfest dinner. I haven't bought a single thing or cleaned the house so I have lots to do.
Sunday - sleep, clean, errands, etc.
i'll be tackling the leaves in the yard (for the third time this year and hopefully the last, ugh) either this evening when i get home or sometime early tomorrow. other than just working on things around the house and going to the hockey game tomorrow evening (barring the onset of labor, of course) we don't have anything planned that i know of. and that's not a bad thing.
Tonight: We're hosting a sleepover for our friend's 16 year old neice and a few of her friends. Wish us luck. I think we might just need it. lol
And then we have no plans on Saturday or Sunday which is perfectly fine with me!
Tonight: My bf is coming to visit for the evening.
Tomorrow: Writing a paper, maybe seeing Where the Wild Things Are (we didn't go last weekend) and then babysitting for two girls that I love hanging out with.
Sunday: Teaching pre-school at my UU church, then furniture shopping in the afternoon and getting ready for the week ahead.
